Fred Toucher: Cowboys Should Consider Aaron Glenn Over Ben Johnson for Top Job
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals took advantage of a costly mistake by the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. Burrow threw a tiebreaking 40-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase after Dallas botched a blocked punt, giving the Bengals a 27-20 win.
In the wake of the loss, Fred Toucher, co-host of Toucher & Hardy, argued that the Cowboys should consider Aaron Glenn, the Lions’ defensive coordinator, for the head coaching job over Ben Johnson, Detroit’s offensive coordinator

Toucher praised Glenn’s leadership, saying he’s a great motivator and well-respected by players. “Glenn gets his defense swarming to the ball, even when they’re undermanned,” Toucher said. “That’s what the Cowboys need after mistakes like we saw against the Bengals.”
While Ben Johnson is highly regarded for his offensive mind, Toucher questioned whether he has the leadership skills to lead a team like Dallas. “Everyone talks about Johnson, but Glenn’s ability to inspire players could give him an edge,” he added.
With another disappointing loss and playoff hopes at risk, Toucher’s comments suggest the Cowboys may benefit from a coach like Glenn, who can motivate the team and prevent mistakes.
