Stephon Gilmore hints at return

After missing the Patriots’ last three games with a knee injury, it looks like Stephon Gilmore is set to return to the field.
The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year posted this photo/caption to his Instagram story Saturday morning:

“When you see your bag packed for the first time in weeks [relieved emoji],” it reads.
On weeks where there are road games, players usually have their bags packed by equipment staff and placed in front of their lockers Friday after practice. Due to COVID protocols, injured players haven’t been traveling with their teams, meaning Gilmore hasn’t had a packed bag to look at since October 5 (there are no bags for home games).
Gilmore’s standing with the team had come into question during his injury, as rumors swirled during the NFL trade deadline. He addressed that on Friday, telling reporters he’s, “happy that I’m a Patriot.”
