In another disappointing game for the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, they faced turnovers from both Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe, contributing to their 10-7 loss against the New York Giants. The Patriots, now with a 2-9 record in the 2023 season, had a chance to tie the game, but rookie kicker Chad Ryland missed a crucial 35-yard field goal attempt, securing the defeat.
Mac Jones had a tough day, going 12-of-21 for 89 yards with two interceptions and a low 27.8 passer rating. Due to his struggles, he was benched after the first half. Bailey Zappe took over in the second half, leading one touchdown drive but finishing with 9-of-14 for 51 yards and an interception.
