Zolak & Bertrand: The Football Card-Week 11
The crew owns a record of 28-21-1 after Week 10 with Beetle and T-Bone winning last week. Hardy ended up with a push, while unfortunately Milliken and Zo(Joe Murray last week) finished with a loss last week.
Bettle took the 49ers(-3) in the 49ers /Jaguars game, and walked away with his 8th straight win. T-Bone took the over(48.5) for the Lions-Chargers game and nailed it, which moved T-Bone’s record on the year to 7-2. Hardy picked the Lions(-3) which resulted in a push, as the Lions won exactly by that much, which put Hardy’s record for the year at 5-4-1. Zo and Milliken were less fortunate on the day though. Zo picked the Seahawks(-6.5) in they’re game against Washington Commanders, and while the Seahawks won, the team failed to cover the spread. Milliken took the over(45) in the 49ers-Jaguars game, but the game failed to be a shootout.
One of the biggest questions we get each week is what betting lines do we make our picks from. In past years, sports betting wasn’t allowed in Massachusetts, but that barrier has finally been broken down. Check out Bet MGM to see the exact same lines the guys are looking at.
Beetle (9-1): Jets @ Bills – OVER 39.5
The Bills are coming off a Monday night defeat against the Broncos which resulted in Ken Dorsey being let go as Offensive Coordinator for the team, while the Jets rank 30th in points-per-game this season(averaging 16 points a game). But that doesn’t stop Beetle, who is looking for his ninth-straight win, from taking the over in this matchup and hoping that with Ken Dorsey out, the Bills offense steps up.
T-Bone (7-3): Steelers @ Browns – Steelers (+1)
T-Bone is riding with the Pittsburgh Steelers in this AFC North rivalry matchup. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was ruled out for the rest of the season this week due to a shoulder injury, which means that Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start for the team. The Steelers can rise to the top of the division with a win, and against a rookie quarterback, the team chances for that are pretty good.
Hardy (5-4-1): Raiders @ Miami – Raiders (+13.5)
Hardy is rocking with the red-hot Raiders on Sunday when they travel down to Miami to take on the Dolphins. The Raiders, who have won two straight games since Antonio Pierce took over to Josh McDaniels, are looking to keep the game close when they go face-to-face with the best offense in the league.
Zolak (5-5): Eagles @ Chiefs – Eagles (+2.5)
In this rematch from last year’s Super Bowl, Zo is riding with the team that came up just short last year. Both the Eagles and Chiefs are atop of their conferences, but unlike the Super Bowl, Zo expects the Eagles to walk away with a win.
Milliken (2-8): Chargers @ Packers – Chargers (-3)
Milliken is riding with Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers when they travel down to Green Bay and take on the Packers. While the Chargers may not have the best record, putting up points hasn’t been the issue as the team ranks in the top-10 in scoring. On the other hand, the Packers have struggled getting the ball in the endzone as they rank 21st in scoring. If the Chargers get a quick lead, this bet could very well hit.
