Marc Bertrand: The Patriots have a cultural problem
On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Marc “Beetle” Bertrand explained why the Patriots have a cultural problem under Jerod Mayo.
This is a reflection of Jerod Mayo…
Marc Bertrand:
It was a drive where Kendrick Borne had the pass interference call and I thought that was 50/50. They got the benefit of the doubt on that one. Drive continues. It was 3rd and short and they threw that deep ball down the right sideline to Hunter Henry. Keep in mind, Hunter Henry was nowhere near the play, and they claim… I could tell, I’m watching this play out… the whole bench and it starts with Alex Van Pelt and Hunter Henry Hunter. Henry’s complaining, complaining, complaining that he’s been held on the play. Van Pelt joins in and then all the other players on the bench who I don’t even think saw the play are like yeah, he was getting hugged! Oh my God, it’s 31-7. Go home and clear the field and get on the bus at this point and just go home. You already got a little bit of a bailout on this drive to keep it going. That call could have gone either way and they gave you the flag on that one… That was the play you picked out for 3rd and 4, and now you’re pissed at the refs again. It had been going on all day long. It was 31-7 at that point and they’re still screaming at the refs. I just thought they looked like the biggest bunch of losers out here. What a bunch of losers. You losers and your loser mentality flipping out on the refs all day. That’s what bad teams do with the left tackle who goes and false starts every 30 seconds and the right tackle, who sometimes does the same and can’t block anybody. Also, the quarterback who fumbles every freaking game now. Guys clean it up. That to me starts with the head coach. That’s a culture problem led by the head coach in-game. Dude, clean it up. Grow up.
