Fart Court: Did Taylor Swift FART on live TV?
During the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, a moment of curiosity arose when an unusual noise accompanied Taylor Swift‘s introduction of her “Wildest Dreams” music video. At the time, Twitter (now X) erupted with speculations, and viewers couldn’t help but wonder: did Taylor Swift genuinely break wind on live television?
The peculiar incident caused enough commotion that MTV found it necessary to issue a statement to clear the air. According to the Mirror, MTV stated, “The sound heard during Taylor Swift’s introduction of her new music video … was isolated to a production microphone. There was absolutely no possibility of it being Taylor or anyone in her party’s microphones picking up ambient sounds.”
However, despite MTV’s assurance that the sound was a mere technical glitch, some remain unconvinced. A quick review of the video in question shows Swift’s actions during the introduction, with an appearance of her trying to hold something in. As she squats during her introduction, an intriguing noise coincides with her movement. Her facial expression and the reaction of her friend Karlie Kloss, who was standing behind her, added to the mystery.
