Both sides are looking pretty banged up heading into Sunday’s Week 5 matchup between the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints at Gillette Stadium. Between the two teams, a total of 23 players are listed on Thursday’s injury report.
The Patriots’ list remains the same as it was on Wednesday. Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and linebacker Matthew Judon (elbow) were the only two players to miss practice. 10 players were limited including running back Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh), guard Cole Strange (knee), defensive tackle Christian Barmore (knee), and cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle).

Fellow tackle Ryan Ramczyk (foot) was upgraded from a non-participant to limited, and defensive tackle Bryan Bresee (illness) and cornerback Erik McCoy (knee) were upgraded to full participants. Tight end Jimmy Graham (rest) was removed from the report all together.
On Friday the teams will release their final injury reports of the week. That will include game statuses for Sunday, which will add clarity to a number of these injury situations.

Patriots Mailbag: Too soon for doom and gloom?
The most lopsided loss of Bill Belichick’s head coaching career has led to one of the most doom-and-gloom weeks the franchise has seen in recent memory. Sitting at 1-3, with the offense spinning its wheels and the defense losing multiple key players due to injury.
That reality has many fans ready to throw in the towel on the 2023 season, instead looking ahead to 2024. Others still see room for improvement, and acknowledge the hole while simultaneously wondering how the team can dig its way out of it.
