The Boston Bruins not only overcame an early deficit, but rained a four-goal barrage on the New Jersey Devils in the second period en route to a 4-3 road win on Friday. David Pastrnak scored two straight goals in a span of under six minutes as part of the Bruins’ four-goal explosion.
It was a goaltending win for the B’s, who were out-shot 40-23 in the game. Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 37 shots for a .925 save percentage, improving his personal record to 19-1-1 on the season. Nine of his saves in the second and third period came on high-danger scoring chances.
