Zolak & Bertrand: Does Eliot Wolf deserve credit for the Patriots offensive line?
On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, the crew dives into whether Eliot Wolf deserves credit for the offensive line finally finding some stability.
How about Scott Peters or the players…
Marc Bertrand:
Jerod Mayo is going to regret giving credit to Eliot Wolf for the offensive line becoming a strength.
Scott Zolak:
I would add something to that, because he’s talking about the touchdown on the last play of the game. I would say go back and watch it, the right guard and right tackle both miss.
Marc Bertrand:
The tape is not friendly to the offensive line. Michael Onwenu sucks right now. What is going on with him? He’s not had a good year.
Scott Zolak:
It’s how much they’re moving him. Are we playing him at tackle or guard? Mike’s a good player.
Marc Bertrand:
He hasn’t been a good player this year… How about Mayo giving the thanks and praise to Eliot Wolf.
Scott Zolak:
He did get Ben Brown. He’s been a big pick-up man. You didn’t have a backup center. You had to cut your backup center because he was so bad. At least you got Ben Brown. Someone picked him off the Raiders practice squad.
Marc Bertrand:
Of all the people you could give some credit to there, hey, it’s been hard for Scott Peters. He’s had so many different guys. He’s coaching and he’s finding a way to pull this group together. Hey AVP, who’s been, you know, trying to work with this. Anybody. Ben McAdoo, anybody. Give some credit to the players themselves. He gives credit to the GM of all people?
Scott Zolak:
Who’s been getting their ass kicked over the last couple of weeks? Eliot Wolf or Scott Peters?
Marc Bertrand:
Eliot Wolf and he deserves it.
