As the Celtics have dealt with piling injuries over the past two weeks, point guard Derrick White has played a big role in keeping the team in the win column. White was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for his performance during the Celtics’ four-game winning streak last week, then scored 27 on Tuesday night as the Celtics took the Milwaukee Bucks to overtime.
However, the Celtics may need to wrap up the first ‘half’ of their season without White in the lineup. In the second quarter of Tuesday night’s game, White took and elbow to the left ear from Bucks guard Grayson Allen. While White finished the game, afterwards he stayed behind in Milwaukee to see an ear specialist due to trouble hearing, according to TNT reporter Jared Greenberg.
