Marc Bertrand: When did Bill Belichick become so gutless?
Following the breaking news of J.C. Jackson being disciplined once again, Marc Bertrand can’t help but question when Bill Belichick became so gutless.
This is about Bill Belichick losing control…
Marc Bertrand: You’re 2-7, your team blows. You need all the help you can get and you brought this guy back for next to nothing. You didn’t give up much to have him here. Based on the contract, he’s likely not going to be here next year. So why even bother? He’s been back for 5 minutes and you can’t count on him to make a road trip. What makes you think there’s a future with that player? This guy has fallen apart. He quit on his team with the Chargers, and now he’s not reliable enough to even put him on the plane and take him on a road trip. Goodbye. See you later.
Scott Zolak: I like it. I like what they’re doing. Removing a problem. Instead of allowing to just be around, create problems, get someone’s ear. Got a young player’s ear. The last thing you need right now. Last thing you need at 2-7.
Marc Bertrand: At 2-7, you should say, yeah you know what? We tried. We wanted to try and see if we could get him back on track and have him be the player he was here in his first go round. Turns out when he got his big contract and $40 million guaranteed, he became disinterested in being a good football player and a good teammate. So we’re moving on. That’s what the Patriots should do today. Instead of leaving him home to watch the game on TV.
Pull it together, Bill. What happened to this guy? And I mean Bill, not J.C. Jackson, we know what happened to J.c. Jackson. Wow. I never thought Bill Belichick would become sackless on things like this, but he has. He should be cut. If you can’t take him on the trip, he shouldn’t be on your team. Behave a little bit this week.
Scott Zolak: We’ll see how you are next week. Get you out of timeout and then we’ll put you back in there. No, thanks.
Marc Bertrand: We’ve already talked about Bill losing control. Put this on the list of another thing that you can add to it of losing control. He’s not in control of the situation. And he could remove this problem right now. This is not working out. That’s pretty obvious. And it only took, what, three weeks?
