Super Bowl Opening Night Roundup: Brady, Belichick, And More
98.5 The Sports Hub was well-represented in Minnesota on Monday night, as several familiar faces ventured to the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul to greet the Patriots at Super Bowl Opening Night.
The event is typically a light-hearted affair, and Monday was no different. All kinds of radio and TV crews flooded the venue to get a chance to ask Patriots players questions like “What does it mean to be in your first Super Bowl?” and “What’s your favorite ninja turtle?”
The event certainly would’ve been better if Rob Gronkowski were able to attend. Same with Malcolm Butler. But like it always does, Opening Night provided plenty of amusement for those in attendance.
Check out a sampling of the action below with some photos and videos from the Sports Hub crew.
Safe to say Tom Brady’s podium drew a little more attention than the rest…
Just some perspective on who's the star at Media Day. This is Stephon Gilmore's podium. Behind that sea of cameras and humanity, that's Brady's. pic.twitter.com/SzwhxlT5aJ

The Patriots arrived like they did back in that fateful 2001 Super Bowl…as a team

Tom Brady tried on a hat from comedian J.B. Smoove…and looked sharp!

Devin McCourty made the grave mistake of divulging personal information…

And when the two teams came together, the Vikings-heavy crowd was decidedly pro-Patriots…
This is bizarro Super Bowl. The crowd of people not from New England love Tom Brady and Nick Foles is getting booed every time he speaks. pic.twitter.com/u11qGBd3eJ
