Kevin Garnett slams Kyrie Irving for stomping on C’s logo
Celtics legend Kevin Garnett already isn’t a huge fan of Kyrie Irving.
And there’s no doubt that Sunday will not help Irving’s standing with KG, as Garnett took to Instagram to slam Irving for stomping on the Celtics’ logo at center court following Brooklyn’s Game 4 victory.
“So nobody gonna say anything about Kyrie stomping ‘Lucky?’” Garnett posted on his Instagram story Monday afternoon. “We just gonna act like we didn’t see that.. [the f—k] going on…”

“You can’t do that,” Garnett wrote. “That’s not [cool] on no level. All of us need to be better. I’m just sayin…”
As mentioned, Garnett has already expressed his feelings on Irving and his failed Boston tenure. It was back in 2019 when Garnett offered a blunt no when asked if he was surprised by Irving’s departure from the Celtics, and went in on the now-Brooklyn star for being too soft to handle Boston and life with the Celtics.
Unfortunately for KG and the Celtics, however, the beyond-stupid decision from a fan (wearing a Garnett jersey, ironically enough) to throw a water bottle at Irving following the stomp will overshadow Irving’s obviously childish, petty move.
The Celtics will look to avoid elimination at the hands of Kyrie and the Nets in Game 5 on Tuesday night.
