Jaxson Smith-Njigba: All I hear is great things about Drake Maye
Live from Radio Row at Super Bowl LXI, Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba discussed running into Patriots quarterback Drake Maye at the Pro Bowl and what he’s heard about him dating back to college.
I’m happy he wasn’t playing when we faced the Patriots…
Marc Bertrand:
You were just at the Pro Bowl and Drake Maye was there and we obviously spend a lot of time talking about Drake Maye. We saw him the other night and he was playing in a ping pong event. He’s exchanging numbers and talking to Micah Parsons and other elite players in this league. What did you take away from seeing Drake Maye kind of being around other players and in that sort of environment?
Jaxson Smith-Njigba:
Drake Maye is a great guy. I’ve got to know him a little bit while he was in college and I’m also friends with, you know, some of his receivers. I just hear great things. You know, luckily he wasn’t playing when we played him. But I think he’s definitely going to take that leap forward. He has all the attributes to be a great player. Young player, I’m sure he’ll figure it out and have a great career.
