Red Sox Truck Day Is Here, Equipment Truck Leaves Fenway For Florida
The signs of spring are upon us in Boston — the sun is setting after 5pm now, and the Boston Red Sox are loading the truck up for a trip to Ft. Myers.
While regular season games are still two months away, Truck Day is often seen as the unofficial beginning of the Red Sox season.

The 53-foot truck will depart Fenway Park, loaded with baseball equipment, for a nearly 1,500 mile journey to JetBlue Park in Florida around noon on Monday.

- 20,400 baseballs
- 1,100 bats
- 200 batting gloves
- 200 batting helmets
- 320 Batting Practice tops
- 160 white game jerseys
- 300 pairs of pants
- 400 t-shirts
- 400 pairs of socks
- 20 cases of bubble gum
- 60 cases of sunflower seeds
Pitchers and catchers will report to the team’s spring training facility in Ft. Meyers next Tuesday (February 13th), with the rest of the team following on February 18th.
