Trailers released for upcoming Celtics, Red Sox docuseries
The upcoming spring will bring two Boston sports documentaries to streaming services. Both the Celtics and the Red Sox will be the featured teams in new docuseries.
On Wednesday, Netflix announced their docuseries “The Clubhouse” on X, releasing a trailer of Red Sox first baseman Tristian Casas discussing the pressures and struggles of the season and clips of him upset with himself for getting out.
The eight episode series will release on Apr. 8 and follows the team through the 2024 season along with getting into the minds of players, via MLB.
“The Clubhouse,” will be the second of two Red Sox docuseries released on Netflix in the last year. “The Comeback,” released last October, relived the Red Sox 2004 ALCS playoff series comeback versus the New York Yankees.
Also on Wednesday, HBO announced they will be releasing a nine-part series, “Celtics City.” That will debut on Mar. 3.
That series will follow the team through their 2024 championship season. The trailer showed clips of past and current Celtics discussing the history of the team and the 2024 run.
