On Thursday’s Felger & Mazz program, Tony Massarotti gave his power rankings for NFL Week 9.

Kansas City

Can anyone stop the Kansas City Chiefs? As the last-standing NFL team with a perfect record (7-0), the Red-Gold-and-White look to parlay their current success into a third-consecutive Super Bowl championship.
Meanwhile, the NFL’s second-best team, the Detroit Lions, is led by red-hot quarterback Jared Goff. In the past 5 weeks, Mr. Perfect has not had his completion percentage dip below 72 percent. In Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, Goff threw a perfect 18-for-18 on his passing attempts.

Pittsburgh
Baltimore
Washington
Green Bay
Minnesota
Philadelphia
The Buffalo Bills are another hot team, having won their last three games. Quarterback Josh Allen has impressively thrown for 14 touchdowns and only one interception. The Bills also hold the second-highest EPA per play average in the NFL over the past three weeks, according to Pro Football Focus.

The New England Patriots will match up against the Tennessee Titans this week in Nashville. The Titans’ struggling passing game has lost them the past three games. Tennesee ranks 31st in passing yards per game with 161.9. Second-year quarterback Will Levis could return to the starting lineup after dealing with an injury. But would that actually help the team? Levis holds the lowest passing grade in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

This is the fifth season for the New England Patriots without legendary quarterback Tom Brady. In that same time frame, the Pats haven’t found a strong identity on offense. Now, with rookie Drake Maye poised to give New England the offensive spark they’ve been looking for, New England thinks they may have found their guy. However, Maye suffered a concussion last week against the New York Jets. He’ll have to pass a five-step concussion protocol to play this week versus the Titans.
