Greg Bedard of BostonSportsJournal.com joined Felger and Mazz on Tuesday and gave his 3 up and 3 down from the New England Patriots loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
3 UP
Christian Gonzalez
Greg Bedard: He was great in the game. He prevented a couple touchdowns. I didn’t agree with how the Cardinals used Harrison in this game, I thought that little 15 yard out that he had is more in his bag at this point. Bu you know, Gonzalez did a great job.
Antonio Gibson
Greg Bedard: He was tremendous in this game. He had that early blitz pickup, he threw a key block on the little Marcus Jones swing pass there. He had some great runs, some tough running, breaking tackles. On one play I think he broke four different tackles. He was one of the few free agent hits for Eliot Wolf.
Drake Maye
Greg Bedard: He didn’t do a whole lot in this game, mostly due to circumstances and the approach of Alex Van Pelt, but he graded out really well for me. I mean, I thought that the throw to Bourne obviously was ridiculous. The little shovel pass touchdown. And then his touchdown run where the Cardinals were showing all out blitz, they did do an all out blitz, and he just he calmly like went around right end like it was nothing. It was very impressive.
3 DOWN
Vederian Lowe
Greg Bedard: I had him for 10 minus plays and 5 quarterback pressures. I think his issues were exacerbated in this game due to the approach of the offensive coordinator.
Kyle Dugger
Greg Bedard: He was terrible. I’m sure he’s fighting through an injury, he’s a tough guy like that. But he has just been awful.
Ben Brown
Greg Bedard: 2 snaps off his ass. For the first time all year he really couldn’t pass block. He had some just straight up whiffs. I have not seen that out of him. This was by far his worst game of the season.
