Julian Edelman is ready for hockey season

Due to a knee injury early in the season, Julian Edelman hasn’t competed in a game since October 25. A guy as firey as him likely itching for some competition. Even if it’s off the football field.
On Thursday, in the spirit of the Bruins’ season opener, Edelman shared a picture of himself photoshopped into a B’s uniform, chipped tooth included. The post includes the caption “364 days until hockey tryouts, gotta toughen up.”

In reality, don’t expect Edelman to be lacing up the skates any time soon. The quote is from the hockey/golf movie Happy Gilmore. Although taking batting cage pitches to the chest to toughen up seems like a very Edelman thing to do.
Edelman’s connection with the Bruins has run deep in recent years. He was a banner captain multiple times during the team’s 2019 playoff run, and regularly wears Bruins apparel during his press conferences.
