Felger & Mazz: Mac Jones takes another dirty cheap shot
In certain situations, Mac Jones could be considered the Grayson Allen of football. Jones’ dirty habits have come to the forefront yet again, this time in the form of a Sauce Gardner tweet…

…Sauce wants to make sure he isn’t fined from the league for pushing Jones. And, in the video he recently posted to Twitter, Jones can be seen reaching for below Gardner’s belt. Sauce responded to the incident with postgame comments.
“That’s probably the first time that ever happened to me,” said Gardner.
“He got tackled, and he reached his hand up to get me to help him up, and I just moved his hand out of the way.”
“But then he got up and he just came up to me, like, ‘Good job.’ But while he’s saying that, he hit me in my private parts.”

FULL CONVERSATION
Felger: Did you see the tap to the hog from Mac Jones on Sauce Gardner?
Murray: Well, I mean, it’s now safe to say that this kid is gaining a reputation, if he hasn’t already achieved it, of being a dirty player in the league. And that’s not just me saying it. Sauce Gardner retweeted this ‘vanilla nut tap’ from the game film.
He tweeted with the video, ‘Putting this up so I don’t get fined lol.’ This is Zapruder film-esque, but you see that there’s a shot to the hog from Mac Jones. And this is following the Brian Burns leg twist in Jones’ rookie season. And the cleats up to the hog of a Bears player. Plus, the cheap block against the Bengals’ Eli Apple.
The kid has gained a reputation. And this isn’t just me saying it. Other players and ex-players, such as Darius Slay–who still plays–have retweeted this.
Felger: Okay. So, how does this thing look? I’ll answer my own question. It looks horrible!
Mazz: Of course! He’s a Grayson Allen knockoff.
Felger: Especially when you’re an average player! That makes you a Grayson Allen type. At least Brad Marchand is an elite player, but the same kind of thing. It’s a horrible look, and it sort of feeds the tennis brat, country club rich kid narrative.
Murray: If things aren’t going my way, I’ll take a cheap shot, that type of thing.
Felger: It makes him come off as a rich, bratty bitch. That’s what it what it looks like. Brady used to do stuff like this, but that’s Brady. It has a little bit of a different look when you’re a guy who’s done nothing in the league.
Mazz: I don’t remember Brady squeezing anybody’s grapes.
Felger: Oh, but the high kicks?
Mazz: Oh, yeah. He did that.
Felger: He did that a couple of times.
Mazz: Yeah, but I don’t remember him, you know, cracking someone in the nuts.
Felger: Squeezing someone’s grapes?
Mazz: I’ve got to believe there are guys on the Patriots that look at him and go, ‘What are you doing? Cut the crap!’
Felger: Make it harder on all of us, right?
Mazz: Because eventually, it’s coming back around. It’s coming back this way, and it might not be you. But it’ll be one of us, a teammate.
