Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal team up to make sizable donations to local food banks in Boston and St. Louis

Jayson Tatum became the latest Boston sports figure to donate to the cause as the global economy takes a massive hit amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tatum announced via Instagram on Monday that he and good friend Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards are teaming up to donate $250,000 each to the Boston and St. Louis area. Large-scale food cargo service Lineage Logistics is matching $250,000 with the Jayson Tatum Foundation.
The donations are going to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank, the St. Louis Area Foodbank, and food bank network Feeding America.
Tatum also encouraged his followers to donate whatever they can to each of the food banks through this link that he posted in his Instagram bio.
Both Tatum and Beal are natives of St. Louis, so it makes perfect sense that they’d donate to that area. And it’s of course an incredible gesture to pledge so much funding to the Greater Boston Food Bank as well. Meals may only get harder to come by for struggling families as the U.S. largely shuts down during the coronavirus outbreak. Every bit of donation helps, and this was a large one.
