Patriots upgrade 5 players on Thursday injury report
The New England Patriots were able to upgrade five players on Thursday’s injury report, while the Titans had some players upgraded and some downgraded.
The big story at New England Patriots practice on Thursday was quarterback Drake Maye (concussion), who remains in the NFL Concussion Protocol. On Wednesday Maye practiced for 30 minutes, but was not on the field during the period open to reporters. That changed on Thursday, as Maye was present at the start of practice. Given that, it appears he’s moved from Phase 3 to Phase 4 of the NFL Concussion Protocol.
Despite that, Maye was listed as limited on Thursday’s injury report. He’s one of 15 players who had that designation on Thursday.
Others who were limited include three players who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice – left tackle Vederian Lowe (ankle/shoulder), defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (neck), and linebacker Christian Elliss (abdomen).
Wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (ankle) was limited as well. He wasn’t listed on Wednesday and was the only new addition to the report on Thursday.

Two more Patriots were upgraded from limited to full participants, wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) and safety Marte Mapu (neck).
For the Titans, nine players missed practice on Thursday. Two of those players were downgraded from Wednesday in running back Tyjae Spears (hamstring) and cornerback Tre Avery (hamstring). Other starters missed their second day in a row including running back Tony Pollard (foot), wide receiver Tyler Boyd (shoulder), and defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat (hip).
Two players did return to practice for the Titans. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley (shoulder) and defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (rest) were both back at it on Thursday and listed as full participants. Quarterback Will Levis (right shoulder) was limited for the second day in a row.
