Celtics adding ex-Bucks assistant to Ime Udoka’s coaching staff
According to ESPN’s Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Ben Sullivan has agreed to a deal to join Ime Udoka’s new coaching staff with the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN. Sullivan is another in a long line of well-regarded Mike Budenholzer assistants.
Sullivan has coached the past three seasons with the Bucks, who are fresh off winning the NBA championship over the Phoenix Suns. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks from 2014-18.
Udoka has familiarity with Sullivan from his time with the San Antonio Spurs, where he was an assistant coach from 2012-19. Sullivan served as a video assistant for the Spurs before joining the Hawks.
Sullivan joins Damon Stoudamire, Will Hardy, and Aaron Miles among the new additions to Udoka’s staff.
