Jaylen Brown reveals who he blew a kiss to during Celtics’ win over Heat

Jaylen Brown had an epic game against the Heat on Wednesday night, blew a kiss toward their bench after hitting an epic shot, then had an epic postgame presser about it all.
Brown revealed to reporters that he was blowing a kiss toward former Celtics teammate Kelly Olynyk, who apparently told Brown he was going to miss the shot, which of course he drained in the Heat’s face.
“Yeah, that was for Kelly,” said Brown. “I don’t know if he was over there, but that was for Kelly.”

It wasn’t a bad blood thing, though. Just some friendly needling between two ex-teammates in a competitive environment.
“Nah, nah, that’s my guy, that’s all love right there,” said Brown. “Kelly’s my guy. K-Doggy. One of Boston’s finest. So, every time I get to show him some love I try to.”
Did Olynyk even see the kiss?
“I don’t know. He felt it, though.”

The Heat certainly felt Brown’s wrath on Wednesday. He dropped a season-high 31 points on 10-for-20 from the field, including 5-for-9 from three-point range. Brown has scored 22 points or more in five of his last six games and is now averaging 19.9 points and 6.9 rebounds on the season with an excellent .494 field goal percentage. According to Basketball Reference, that’s the fifth-highest shooting percentage of any small forward.
And now he’s getting cocky about it, in a good way. Hopefully for the Celtics’ sake, Brown will be blowing more kisses toward the opposing bench in the playoffs.
