Celtics hold on to beat Bucks 111-105
The Boston Celtics defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by a final score of 111-105 on Friday night at TD Garden. The C’s improved to 19-4 on the season with the win.
Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday contributed 25 and 20, respectively. Tatum shot 12-for-20 (60%) from the floor, including 4-for-10 from three-point range, and also logged 10 rebounds and five assists.
Milwaukee got an excellent offensive showing from its two stars, Giannis Antetokounmpo (30 points) and Damian Lillard (31 points), but their other three starters combined for just seven points of support.
The Celtics trailed 82-78 entering the fourth quarter. Tatum delivered a strong closing performance, scoring 14 points on 5-for-5 shooting in the fourth, to propel the Celtics to victory.
