Brandon Lang: Bill Belichick is going to end up in Dallas next season
Brandon Lang of BrandonLang.com joined Felger and Mazz, as he usually does, on Radio Row on Tuesday. While on, Lang dropped what he’s hearing on the latest with former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and where he could end up coaching next season.
Bill Belichick to the Dallas Cowboys in 2025?
Brandon Lang: My bomb for the Boston audience is this…..Bill Belichick didn’t take any jobs, he interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons and said, “you know what, Arthur’s going to fire a blank here. Atlanta’s not ready to win. It was nice to interview but I’m done”. He’s going to sit back, Mike McCarthy is going to wet the bed again. Jerry Jones is going to fire him and Bill is going to say, “alright, Jerry, here I come buddy. Let’s go do it”, and he’s going to end up in Dallas next year.
Jim Murray: Mid-season? After the season?
Brandon Lang: After the season. After season is over McCarthy’s contract is up, they fall short again, hey still got a plethora of talent, and Jerry is going to make the hard sell pitch to Bill.
Felger: Is that just a hunch or is that what you’re hearing on the street?
Brandon Lang: That’s what I’m hearing on the street.
Felger: Okay. Bill to Dallas after a year?
Brandon Lang: Bill to Dallas after the year.
Mazz: Why didn’t Jerry Jones do it now just because they didn’t want to pay McCarthy?
Brandon Lang: Not that he didn’t want pay McCarthy, he just he wanted to get Bill one more year. He want he wants in some warped way, he just still thinks in this warped way that Bill’s the answer, and he has to suffer through it one more year before he takes the checkbook and says, “okay, Bill, write them out. Come on, let’s go. Let’s do this”.
