Mazz: Celtics Don’t Respect Their Own Talent
On Monday’s edition of Felger and Mazz, Mazz details why the Celtics don’t respect their own talent, and acts as if they already won the championship.
This team acts like a team that already has a championship in its pocket…
Felger: You sound agitated with the Celtics.
Mazz: I am agitated. I know they’re 11 and two, or whatever the hell they are. But I look at them and then I hear Mazzulla after the game and he’s sort of very matter of fact about the whole thing. I’m sort of with Cerrone Battle on this, although it’s not as much about the three pointers with me as much as it is about his overall leadership. This team is so loaded with talent. He should be riding their ass over the things that they’re doing wrong. This team acts like a team that already has a championship in its pocket and is just kind of coasting and knows when it knows when it can turn it on to win.
Felger: Mazzulla did say,” We got lucky last night. We got away with one.”
Mazz: Yeah, but not with enough anger.
Felger: You didn’t like his tone?
Mazz: I didn’t. He’s not hard enough on them.
Murray: He sat Holiday, Tatum, and Brown late in the third quarter right or midway through that third quarter. As long as he’s showing the actions of it, like a coach that’s pissed off. Which I think that he did? Shouldn’t that count enough?
Mazz: Murray, I think they have the same problem in some ways that they’ve had in other years. They still don’t respect their own talent, and they don’t. The only difference now is they have more of it so they can get away with it. But I still think some of these games, last night’s game, you know how many guys were out for Memphis? They were missing, like, eight guys.

Stewart: My Top 50 NBA Players
The Ringer put out it’s top 100 NBA players list and other outlets left Derrick White off the list which offends me on so many different levels because Derrick White is a top 100 player in the NBA. So is Al Horford for that matter. The Celtics have six NBA starters this season and in my opinion all six are top 100 players going into the 2023-24 NBA season. I won’t bore you with 100 NBA names of which 48 of them YOU don’t care about but I’ll give you my top 50 list of which 15 of them you don’t care about and my list of 1 to 30 you’ll hate. Before we get to my Top 50 NBA players list, here are some quick and random thoughts on the NBA’s GM Survey.
