Report: Celtics interested in Markieff Morris, Evan Turner
By Alex Barth, 985TheSportsHub.com
With under 24 hours to go until the NBA trade deadline, the rumors are starting to come more and more frequently.
First, there was a report Wednesday morning from Heavy.com’s Sean Deveney that the Celtics would look to sign Evan Turner if he is bought out by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Turner played for the Celtics from 2014-2016. In 19 games for Minnesota this year, Turner is averaging three points, two rebounds, and two assists and playing just 13.2 minutes per game.
Barring another trade, Evan Turner is expected to get a buyout from @Timberwolves.

The @celtics are expected to be among teams interested him -- but no roster spot (as of now).
Another East contender would have interest, too, I'm told. More on @HeavySan :https://t.co/dpSQHbE6Lt
That was followed by a report later in the day from The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor linking the Celtics to Detroit Pistons forward Markieff Morris. Morris’ brother Marcus, formerly of the Celtics and now with the Knicks, is expected to get dealt at the deadline, but there has been no indication of a reunion for him in Boston. As for Markieff, the Celtics could face some competition for his services from other Eastern Conference contenders. Markieff is averaging 11 points and four rebounds per game in a sixth-man role with the Pistons.
Marcus Morris and the Knicks have everyone's attention, but the Pistons have also received calls from multiple contenders for his brother, Markieff Morris.

The Lakers, Clippers, Bucks, Sixers, and Celtics are among those teams interested in Markieff Morris, per league sources.
The NBA trade deadline is set for Thursday at 3 p.m. Will the Celtics make a deal before then? 98.5 The Sports Hub will have you covered up to and throughout the deadline.
