Rhode Island Favorites With Joe Mazzulla
When it comes to Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla, we know a few things about him early in his coaching career. He loves the 3 point shot, reading past articles about his team and his favorite movie is The Town. He even shared his favorite scene from the movie before the game against Minnesota.
The talk after the loss to the Pacers on Monday night was the officials. Jaylen Brown felt he was fouled by Buddy Hield in the closing seconds. Upon review, the foul was overturned and the Pacers went on to win the game on another controversial foul call. Mazzulla joined Zolak & Bertrand for his weekly appearance and was asked about spending too much time on the officials.
This was my first opportunity to talk to the Celtics coach and wanted to ask him about one of Rhode Island’s favorites, Del’s Lemonade. I enjoy a Del’s when traveling to Newport or the Rhode Island beaches. Del’s is a frozen lemonade with seven main flavors of the popular drink: lemon, watermelon, peach-mango, blueberry, cherry, grapefruit, and blood orange.
Another thing Mazzulla mentioned that he enjoys is Coffee Milk. I was unfamiliar with the rhode Island based drink and got an education from many people from the ocean state. Coffee Milk is a coffee syrup mixed with milk and was named the official drink of Rhode Island in 1993. The More you know!
I can feel a tour of Rhode Island in my future, maybe coach Mazzulla could come along for the ride? Either way, I am down for tsome Clam Cakes, Pizza Strips, Doughboys, Calamari, hot weiners, johnny cakes and clam chowder. We can wash it all down with a Del’s Lemonade or a Coffee Milk.
