Bill Belichick drafting out of his compound in Nantucket

Bill Belichick wisely decided to make his draft comfortable. If you have to work from home, might as well do it out of your favorite possible space.
Belichick will be drafting from his compound in Nantucket on Thursday, as ESPN’s Mike Reiss said before the start of the 2020 NFL Draft. He does have work to do by the end of the night, as the Patriots sit with the 23rd overall pick. Whether he trades up or down or stands pat and calls a name, he’ll be doing it from one of his five sensibly modest-sized homes that he’s had built in Siasconset, on the southeast coast of Nantucket.
If Belichick’s draft room was truly, honestly set up by the dog, it’s about as simple as it gets. But probably all he needs.
What’s important is that Belichick is comfortable. And he loves that island and his mini-kingdom more than almost anything. You’d have to think drafting from paradise will help Belichick focus this year.
