Jim Murray: It’s time to move on from Jeremy Swayman
With all the latest happening with Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins, Big Jim Murray thinks that it’s time for the Bruins to move on from Swayman.
Jim Murray: I’m done. I’m done. I am fully siding with the team. It’s time to move on. Because I do believe he and his agents ask is unreasonable and it is close to 9, which I think is crazy considering that again he’s played what, 44 games tops in a season or 43 whatever it is? And he’s good, he’s good. He’s not great. He’s got to get over it. He’s got to come to a more reasonable number if he’s not, and he’s hurt and he’s going to continue to whine?
Jim Murray: He’s handling his business like an embittered teenage girl. “I have a burn book. I heard what you said about me”.
Felger: Is what they call it?
Jim Murray: Oh, it’s from Mean Girls, the movie.
Felger: Burn book. I’ve seen it. I saw the play. That’s a burn book?
Jim Murray: Yeah.
Felger: I don’t remember. But burn book, yeah.
Jim Murray: By the way, Jeremy Swayman, there isn’t any Bruin that’s trustworthy in the playoffs. That’s the Bruins. That’s the Bruin experience. It’s not just you, pal. It’s anyone that puts on that damn sweater. My whole life. So don’t take it so personally. You baby. This quote I saw today, I’m done.
Mazz: This kid has got some growing up to do.
Jim Murray: It’s just, and this is a me thing, but it’s there’s certain athletes that have come through this area and he’s one. Mac Jones, Tristan Casas is another….
Felger: This is David Price.
Jim Murray: These guys, it’s all too “Gen-Z” for me. It’s too young. It’s this everyone gets a trophy mentality. This like, “my feelings are important too”. Again, like, dude, you’ve overvalued yourself, you’ve overplayed your hand, you and your agent. And if you’re going to be this whiny about it like I’m good. Like they’ll figure it out without you.
