Bedard: 10 questions from around the NFL after week 15
Greg Bedard of BostonSportsJournal.com joined Felger and Mazz on Tuesday and answered 10 questions from Around the NFL following week 15 of the 2024 NFL season. Below are some of the best QnA’s from the segment.
Do you like the new college football playoff format. Will you watch?
Greg Bedard: I like that there is a playoff, it’s about time. I completely hate the format in terms of who gets a bye and who doesn’t. Just seed them 1-12. I mean Penn State at #6 just has to play SMU and Boise St. to make it to the semi-final? It’s just absurd.
What current NFL quarterbacks would you take over Josh Allen, not just for one game tonight but over the next 5-10 years?
Greg Bedard: Patrick Mahomes. That’s it.
Bills week. Who is the biggest toolbag Buffalo Bill of your lifetime?
Greg Bedard: I would say Wade Phillips simply for the Doug Flutie/Rob Johnson decision going into the playoffs. I thought that was ridiculous.
Is the city of Buffalo a bottom-three metro area in the US to visit as a sportswriter? If there are three worse locales, what are they?
Greg Bedard: It’s definitely the worst. Now, the other ones I was thinking of I had to eliminate, like Jacksonville, Sunrise, and Sacramento. At least you have good weather and can maybe play golf. Like in Buffalo, when we’re going there in like November, December, or January, you’re just stuck in your hotel room. It’s horrible.
Who will win a Super Bowl first: the Buffalo Bills….or the New England Patriots?
Greg Bedard: The Bills. As of today the Patriots couldn’t be further away from winning a Super Bowl.
