Drake Maye Debut Betting Odds
The Jacoby Brissett era in New England is over. The 9-year veteran was benched after leading the Patriots to the worst passing offense in the league. It was painful to watch as he averaged under 140 passing yards per game. The Patriots are 1-4 and some think they could easily be 3-2. And now the Drake Maye era officially begins!
There are mixed reviews of the announcement. Some Patriots fans want to see the 3rd overall pick as he showed some promise in the preseason. It was not the plan entering the season as they preached young quarterbacks learning under a veteran. After five games, they have had enough. It makes you wonder if they ever had a plan at all.
The flip side is that Patriots games are worth watching again. Did they draft the next franchise player? Or is it Mac Jones all over again, who also played with a terrible offensive line. Jones was traded in the offseason to Jacksonville for a late-round pick.
