A Buffet of Questions with The Phantom Gourmet
Nothing goes more hand in hand than sports and food. We all love tailgating and heading to our regular spots when watching the games. I’m sure we have all eaten our feelings after a few tough losses as the Bruins were eliminated in the first round or the Celtics losing at home in Game 7.
To get my mind off it, discussing some of my favorite spots has been a staple on my past weekend shows and every night on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
We have all debated on who has the better food, the North Shore or South Shore? Cold or hot buttered lobster rolls? Where do you go to get the best-fried clams? What toppings should go on a hot dog? I’ve been known to ask callers about places based on where they are from.
We give hot takes on the radio on sports, but everyone has a take on food. Nobody over the last 20+ years does it better than the Phantom Gourmet.
On Wednesday, I spoke with the host of the popular weekly show on TV 38 Dan Andelman. The legendary family is having their annual Food Festival this Saturday in Waltham on Moody St. I’m not going to lie, I have had the show on many times and instantly got in my car and drove there. I’m always down for a road trip, but now the Phantom restaurants will be in one spot for everyone to enjoy.
Dan and I had a chance to discuss the Patriots slow start, the Red Sox win total, and the restaurant where the Bruins told Brad Marchand he would be the next captain. We also got some legendary stories and an update on the “Godfather of Radio” Eddie Andelman.
Check out the interview below and I will see you on Saturday at The Phantom Food Festival.
