With the recent announcement that WrestleMania 41 will be John Cena’s last, the wrestling community has been in a buzz about who his potential opponent could be. The biggest prediction going around is Randy Orton with some other names that have been thrown around being Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Now obviously, some of these are pretty farfetched (seeing any odds for Ric Flair is comical) but for me personally, the ideal Cena opponent for me depends on the circumstances of the match. For example, here are some other odds surrounding Cena’s final WrestleMania.

Here are the current odds for Cena’s WrestleMania 41 opponent via BetOnline

John Cena Wrestlemania Opponent
Randy Orton1/1
Cody Rhodes2/1
CM Punk7/1
Roman Reigns9/1
The Rock9/1

Triple H50/1
Ric Flair100/1

For me personally as someone who grew up watching Cena throughout his prime, I would like to see him use this last run to go for World Championship number 17. Many people aren’t going to agree with this and would rather see him not take the spotlight away from the current talent, but for my own enjoyment that is what I would like to see. That said, given the history between the two, I would be shocked to see anyone other than Randy Orton facing Cena at WrestleMania 41. Cena and Orton consistently battled it out as the two biggest stars in the company for most of the late 2000s and 2010s, Orton essentially being the Lex Luther to Cena’s Superman. For me personally whether or not Cena goes after Flair’s record 16 world titles, Orton feels like the only appropriate opponent for Cena’s final WrestleMania.
