The Celtics have had an interesting offseason considering they just won the NBA Championship. Two weeks after a parade through the streets of Boston, the team announced it is up for sale and there wil be new owners. Despite the announcement, the Celtics have been spending money offering the Supermax to Jayson Tatum and signing Derek White to an extension. The team is essentially running it back adter they resigned players such as Luke Kornet, Xavier Tillman and Sam Houser, who got a four year extension worth 54 million. There is going to be a new owner but the team is still focused on winning.

The team has been in the headlines beyond the sale of the team. Three players will be representing team USA at the Paris Olympics. There were the Jaylen Brown tweets at Nike after being left off the team as the rest of the Eastern Conference has rebulit their rosters to compete with Boston such at New York, Philadelphia and Orlando. The preseason schedule was also announce as the team will be traveling to Abu Dhabi and take on the Denver nuggets. In an article from the Worcester telegram. It was noted that the Celtics will raise their banner on October 27th in the home opener against the Miami.

The home opener hasn't been officially announced, but what a flex raising the banner in front of one of your biggest rivals and in front of Pat Riley. The Celtics are running it back, there has not been repeat champion in 6 seasons. The Celtics are the favorites next season to win the NBA Championship.
