Bill Belichick is tired of hearing about the weather: ‘Schedule it wherever you want. We’ll be there.’

Bill Belichick had to remind reporters yet again that he does not control the weather, nor are the Patriots worrying about it.
Speaking in his Wednesday presser ahead of the AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, the first three questions were about the “arctic blast” that’s set to hit Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
So about that extreme cold, Bill, can you talk ab-
“We’re getting ready for the Chiefs. Whatever it is, it is.”
…Do you mind playing in that kind of weather?
“I love to play in the [AFC] championship game. Schedule it wherever you want. We’ll be there.”
…
…Will the cold affect how you play and coach on the field?
“I don’t know, it’s Wednesday. We’ll see what happens Sunday night. Right now we’re getting ready for the Chiefs.”
Nothing wrong with asking about the cold, especially when it’s going to be an extreme case of it. Just can’t expect Belichick to address it as anything other than an element of the game that’s outside the team’s control. What Belichick can control is how he coaches and prepares the team for the players on the other side of the field. So he’s going to stick to that.
As of Wednesday (Belichick confirmed that today is Wednesday), the Weather forecast for Kansas City calls for a high of 15 degrees. But the arctic nature of the air could have it feeling more like sub-zero temps. As Belichick always says, it is what it is. Bundle up, and as Andy Reid said on Tuesday, “You go out and play.”
It is what it is, indeed.
