Red Sox Roast Yankees On Twitter … With Wally The Green Monster
The Red Sox roasted the Yankees on Twitter after securing their walk-off win on Sunday night, and they didn’t even need their official account to do it.
There’s a bit of a trend with whoever runs the Yankees’ Twitter account. They only seem to say anything when it’s going well. They didn’t tweet after the second inning on Thursday night, when the Red Sox blew them off the field in Thursday’s 15-7 win. On Sunday night, the Yanks decided to chirp after the team scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Needless to say, this was a risky tweet to send out before the game was over. And of course, it did not age well at all. Wally chimed in once the game was actually decided:

Check mark goes to the Red Sox’ mascot over the Yankees organization for this one.
You know who might agree with that? Whoever puts together the front pages for the New York tabloids.
