Zolak & Bertrand: The Football Card – Week 7
The crew owns a record of 19-11 after Week 6 with Beetle, T-Bone, Zo, and Milliken all coming off wins. Unfortunately, Hardy cost us a chance at hitting our parlay. Just a quick refresher on last week’s picks:
Zo bet on the Ravens (-4.5) taking care of business against the Titans. Beetle put his faith in the Cowboys (-2.5) over the Chargers. Hardy was a victim of the Jets upset over the Eagles (-7). T-Bone won his fourth straight with the Bengals (-2.5) taking care of business against the Seahawks. Lastly, Milliken secured his second win of the year by taking the under of 41.5 in Patriots @ Raiders.
One of the biggest questions we get each week is what betting lines do we make our picks from. In past years, sports betting wasn’t allowed in Massachusetts, but that barrier has finally been broken down. Check out Bet MGM to see the exact same lines the guys are looking at.
Scott Zolak (4-2): Browns @ Colts – Browns (-2.5)
Even with Deshaun Watson likely being out Sunday, Zo is putting his faith in P.J. Walker to win his second straight game for the Browns. Gardner Minshew being the Colts QB also factors into this, especially after the Browns defense stifled the 49ers offense a week ago.
Beetle (5-1): Dolphins @ Eagles – Eagles (-2.5)
Coming off a disappointing loss to the Jets a week ago, Beetle is all in on the Eagles bouncing back in a big way. Jalen Carter and Darius Slay returning this week should go a long way towards slowing the Dolphins’ offense down. The Eagles being at home doesn’t hurt either.
Hardy (3-3): Packers @ Broncos – Broncos (+1)
It’s been a rough year for the Broncos with the defense being an absolute embarrassment. Still, the Packers offense has slowed considerably since the first two weeks of the season. This should be a nice spot for Russell Wilson and Sean Payton to get their second win of the season with the Packers on the road.
T-Bone (5-1): Bills @ Patriots – Bills (-8)
T-Bone believes this is the easiest bet in the NFL this week. Patriots are an absolute disaster on offense and the Bills should have something to prove after barely squeaking by the Giants. Just like Albert Breer said, Bills win by 30 this week.
Milliken (2-4): Falcons @ Bucs (Bucs -2.5)
Heading into Week 7, the Bucs’ defense has allowed the 8th fewest points per game in the NFL. On the other hand, the Falcons’ offense is ranked 29th in points per game with Desmond Ridder coming off a 3 pick game against the Commanders. Give me the Bucs at home with Baker Mayfield bouncing back after a tough loss to the Lions.
