Zolak & Bertrand: The Football Card – Week 6
The crew owns a record of 15-10 after Week 5 with Beetle, T-Bone, and Milliken all coming off wins. Zo and Hardy weren’t so unfortunate. Just a quick refresher on last week’s picks:
Zo bet on the Ravens (-4.5) taking care of business against the Steelers. Beetle put his faith in the 49ers (-3.5) over the Cowboys. Hardy missed badly by taking the Patriots (-1) to handle the Saints. T-Bone won his third straight with the Jets (+2) covering against the Broncos. Lastly, Milliken secured his first win by hitting the under of 39.5 in the Saints-Patriots beatdown.
One of the biggest questions we get each week is what betting lines do we make our picks from. In past years, sports betting wasn’t allowed in Massachusetts, but that barrier has finally been broken down. Check out Bet MGM to see the exact same lines the guys are looking at.
Scott Zolak (3-2): Ravens @ Titans (London) – Ravens (-4.5)

Zo had some bad luck going with the Ravens last week, but he’s doubling down with them heading to London. Coming off a tough loss to the Steelers, there’s a lot of pressure on Baltimore’s wide receivers to actually catch the ball in Week 6. Either way, it’s hard to envision the Titans doing much on offense after DeAndre Hopkins went off and they still only scored 16 points.
Beetle (4-1): Cowboys @ Chargers – Cowboys (-2.5)

Last week, Beetle bet on the 49ers to smash the Cowboys and now he’s doing the opposite for Week 6. Over Dallas’ last 12 losses, they’re 11-1 the following week, showing a real ability to bounce back. Mike McCarthy has too much talent on offense not to carve up Brandon Staley’s defense.
Hardy (3-2): Eagles @ Jets – Eagles (-7)

Even though the Jets have looked better in recent weeks, Hardy isn’t buying it. Zach Wilson will be fighting for his life with another offensive line reshuffle and an Eagles pass-rush that can get to the QB. If Jalen Carter ends up not being ready to go, that could make this pick a bit more risky.
T-Bone (4-1): Seahawks @ Bengals – Bengals (-2.5)

It was an ugly start to the season for Joe Burrow and the Bengals, but after throwing 3 touchdowns to Ja’Marr Chase last week, it seems like the offense is finally rolling again. Add in some bulletin board material from D.K. Metcalf as well and this should be a statement game for Cincinnati. Time for Zac Taylor’s crew to get back to .500.
Milliken (1-4): Patriots @ Raiders – UNDER 41.5

After taking the under and finally hitting last week, Milliken is running the same play again. At this point, the Patriots and Raiders are the only remaining teams in the NFL not to score 20 points in a game. Add in Bill Belichick’s history with Jimmy Garoppolo hopefully keeping the Raiders offense in check, and this should point to a low-scoring matchup over the weekend.
