How To Tie-Dye

From Tik Tok to Instagram, it’s everywhere and clothing brands are starting to get on board, but why buy when you can make your own! 1. Pick what you’d like to dye
This could be a T-shirt, tank top, socks, the list goes on if you use your imagination!

2. Set up your workspace
Tie-dying can be messy, so be sure to layout trash bags or newspapers.
3. Soak your item in warm water
This allows the fibers to absorb the dyes.
4. Chose your pattern
There are many design techniques, including the swirl, crumple, and sunset. Looking for some pattern inspiration? Click HERE.

5. Put on some gloves and start dying
This is the fun part! Use rubber bands to help achieve your pattern and pick your perfect colors.
6. Let your item dry
Place your item in a plastic bag to dry for 6 to 8 hours or even 24 hours. The longer you let it sit, the more vibrant the colors will become.
7. Rinse the item
Finally, use cold water to rinse until the water runs clear. Then place it in your washing machine ALONE on a cold cycle.
