Jerry Remy Finishes Cancer Treatment, Looks Ahead to Spring Training
Jerry Remy is done with cancer treatment as of today, and is looking forward to Fort Meyers.
This was the 64-year-old Red Sox broadcaster’s fifth time battling cancer.
“It started in June with surgery chemo and 5 weeks of radiation. It ended today. Finished,” Remy tweeted from his account.
“Thanks to the team at MGH and the support I got from many people. To my co-patients stay strong.”
Remy took to both Twitter and Instagram to announce the news, saying that he was looking forward to ringing a bell that patients ring when they have completed treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital.
“Next up, Spring Training!!” Remy posted on Instagram.
