Is there too much Bill Belichick?
As the NFL season begins, Bill Belichick will not be on an NFL sideline this season wearing the headset and the hoodie. You will be able to see the future hall of fame coach on your television as he has found multiple jobs and will be breaking down football all season long. Belichick who couldn’t find a job in the league and is just a few wins away from most in NFL histor. He is certainly going to be relevant in the 2024 NFL season and could get even more wins in the media. I’m sure some will miss Belichick on the sidelines, but are we seeing too much of the coach this year?
I figured he would go on his boat in Nantucket or go hang with his kid Steve in Washington and get away from the game. The coach has showed up to Tom Brady’s roast and his Patriots hall of fame induction and has been supported by the fans and former players after being portrayed poorly in the recent Apple documentary “Dynasty”. The recently fired coach will be working with Peyton Manning on the Manningcast. He will join Jim Gray and replace Brady on his weekly Let’s Go podcast. He even went out of his way to help Matt Patricia get a job on his underdog podcast. And Bill can even be found on social media as he has created his own Instagram account.
Belichick is living his best life. He clearly is looking to rehabilitate his image even if he wants to coach in 2025 or just still wants to be around the game. As for too much Belichick, the Patriots are projected to be at the bottom of the league this year. The constant reminder of what was with him on television and even Brady calling games this season will be a bittersweet reminder of what once was.
As for Belichick’s future, he’s still a rock star in New England and in the game of football. This season will dictate if he is in our face too much or a constant reminder of why the Patriots are in the place they are at. Only time will tell, but you will either miss him or had enough at some point this season
