Tim McKone joins Zolak & Bertrand show on full-time basis
There was major programming news on Monday morning at The Sports Hub, as Tim McKone was announced as the new headlines guy and third chair for Zolak & Bertrand. After an extensive search, McKone joins the show following the departure of Rob “Hardy” Poole, who took over as host of “Toucher & Hardy” in January. McKone has been with the station for eleven years in various capacities, including hosting duties on weekends, and various fill-in opportunities during the week.

Beetle: Show announcement. After much deliberation and, an extensive interview process. And, after many months, we have decided that we’re going to, let Tim McKone hang out here every single day with us going forward. Every day. Every day, five days a week.
McKone: Stuffed in a locker by zero five days a week.
Beetle: Tim McKone is going to be with us, permanently. Here on Zolak and Bertrand. So congratulations, Tim.
McKone: I’m fired up.
Zolak: Congrats, buddy.
McKone: I’ve been filling in with you guys for a long time, obviously for like ten years now. So this is, my favorite show. Top three favorite shows to work on. So I appreciate I’m looking forward to this.
Beetle: And thank you to everybody who was in here. Oh my God, the list. And was filling in for since December. Phil Perry, Matt McCarthy, Joe Murray, Ryan Johnston, Michael Michael Holly, Kendra Middleton, Mark Dondero. Even Brendan Glasheen was in here last week. So, yes, congratulations and welcome Tim McKone. And, of course, you know, this was not an easy decision. And there were a lot of factors to be considered.

Barth's Patriots Mock Draft 3.0: Reading the tea leaves
Draft week is finally here! After months of projections and speculation, the wait is almost over!
We’ll kick off draft week – and the final Mock Draft Monday of the year – with our final Patriots seven-round mock draft of this draft cycle. At this point we have as much information as we’ll get, as we make projections ahead to the Patriots’ upcoming draft decisions (reminder, my mock drafts are about predicting what the Patriots will do rather than just sharing what I would do personally).
—Everything Eliot Wolf said about the Patriots’ big three needs during his pre-draft press conference
—There’s already a favorite to win the Patriots’ starting left tackle job
—The Patriots are ‘open for business’ heading into the NFL Draft
Last year, our final mock draft yielded two eventual Patriots draft picks. We got Keion White in the second round (although in different draft slots due to trades) and DeMario Douglas in the sixth round.
Can we do it again? It’s time to compile everything we’ve learned in the last eight months, from the college football season itself to the showcase games, Combine, visits, Eliot Wolf’s recent pre-draft press conference, general reports and more.
Let’s read the tea leaves, and check out Patriots Mock Draft 3.0…
