Scott Zolak: Jaylen Brown is the alpha of the Celtics
On Friday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Scott Zolak declared Jaylen Brown as the “alpha” of the Celtics.
This is everything you want from your star player…
Marc Bertrand:
Jaylen Brown went off and took control of the game for his team. What a night for Jaylen Brown. He was all the best parts of Jaylen Brown in my mind last night. Assertive, dominant, points in the paint, getting to the free throw line, being aggressive. All of those things. Taking smart shots. You got all the best traits of Jaylen Brown in that game last night. He was locked in and he was pissed. I hope they never vote him to a team ever again after that performance last night. I told you, if you were going to take an over last night on points, Brown was the guy. And did he deliver.
Scott Zolak:
I know we got the contrast with the two, but his comments about it after and how people aren’t half as good as him and you he could tell he took it personally. He said I don’t have time to worry about that, I’m more worried about winning the finals. That’s what you want in your player and your star. He’s your alpha. It’s his team man. You can just tell with the departure of Marcus Smart and the addition of Jrue Holiday. Holiday was fantastic too last night. They were the two best players on the floor last night, but Brown is separating from the pack. Ride him. Ride him while he’s feeling it, ride him while he’s hot.
Marc Bertrand:
Right now, it feels like to me this is the Brown and Holiday show over the first two games of this series.
Scott Zolak:
They have a really good feel for each other.
