NBA releases new ‘Earned Edition’ Celtics uniforms
Get ready for a new-look Celtics team after the All-Star break. Not in terms of their roster, but what they’re wearing.
On Wednesday, the NBA released this year’s “Earned Edition” uniforms, which are an alternate uniform for all 16 playoff teams from the previous season. That includes the Celtics, giving them five jerseys in their rotation.
This year’s “Earned Edition” diverges from the usual Celtics green to three different shades. The main part of the uniform is a very dark green, to the point it’s nearly black. Then there’s a lime green trip, with traditional Celtics green in between. That green also fills out the numbers, with a white outline.

The new uniform will make it’s debut on March 19, when the Celtics host the Sacramento Kings. In total, they’ll wear the look seven times over the final two months of the season.
