More Details On The Dr. Disrspect Ban, And They Don’t Involve YouTube
I know we continue to bring you guys Dr. Disrespect news and it feels like it’s been dominating the news cycle for the past two weeks, but people are DYING to know just what the heck is going on when it comes to the ban Twitch laid down on him last month. However, because this stuff just keeps leaking out we have to continue to update the story and bring you the details.
CATCH THIS STORY AND MORE ON THE BREAKDOWN:
More Dr. Disrespect news leaks and a Twitch Rivals winner DEMANDS answers from Twitch casting employees, GaryVee jumps into the world of esports launching a new esports firm called VaynerSports and signs world champ Bugha, plus Team Envy announces first Valorant roster and join the rest of the biggest esports organizations who are going all-in on Valorant.
Recently, the streamer changed his Twitter bio, moving his YouTube channel into the featured spot. This was seen as a tease by many fans. However, according to industry insider Rod “Slasher” Breslau, Dr. Disrespect won’t be signing any deal with YouTube. This information comes from a Twitch co-stream with Hasan Piker, where Rod “Slasher” Breslau talked about the situation.
And Hasan Piker isn’t the only person who wants to know answers to why everything is going down like this. All this silence was too much to take for one streamer, “THump”, who had just won the Twitch Rivals Rocket Arena tournament as part of Team Bugha, a massive online tournament with tens of thousands of live viewers. He used his post-win interview to ask the hard-hitting questions of Twitch staff and those casters who are employed by Twitch itself.
Of course, these three are unlikely to know much more than the rest of us do, which is to say nothing at all, and even if they did I doubt a Twitch Rivals post-match interview is the time when we would have finally found out why the Doc has been MIA on then platform. New details seem to continue to just drip out on all of this, and I know that the story isn’t over. If you have a theory on why Doc was removed from the platform, drop it as a comment below!
