Bill Belichick next team odds: Where could he coach in 2024?
We are two days removed from the end of the season and a few teams have already made coaching changes. Atlanta was the first to make a move with Arthur Smith out. Washington is moving on from Ron Rivera and the Titans let go Mike Vrabel today. There are openings with the Raiders, Chargers and Panthers.
The Patriots have yet to make an announcement on Bill Belichick who stated in a press conference that he is still under contract and wants to continue to coach. It is reported that Belichick has met with owner Robert Kraft and had a long discussion. They will meet again in the next few days. With Mike Vrabel being available, could that speed things up for Kraft and the Patriots to make a move?
There has been wide speculation of where Belichick could end up. NFL Network reported that there would be teams interested in the 72 year old coach. Atlanta seems to be the team linked to the future hall of fame coach. A report last week mentioned teams in the NFC south would have the most interest. Carolina could be a destination and no word yet if the Saints will move on from Dennis Allen.
Draftkings has come out with the market odds for the next team to hire Belichick as head coach.
The LA Chargers are listed as the favorite to land the hoodie. The Patriots are slighting behind as he is still under contact. The next team on the list is the Titans who in a statement mentioned that current GM Ron Carthon will begin a coaching search. Tennessee previously have extensions to recently fired GM John Robinson and Mike Vrabel after winning the AFC South in 2021. The other teams listed at the Giants, and the Jets as a long shot. Not being a head coach this year has better odds than him going to a team not mentioned.
