The Patriots will face a shorthanded Titans team on Sunday
The Titans will officially be without a number of key players when they face the Patriots on Sunday. And that’s going beyond the star power they already have on IR including Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, and Bud Dupree.
Tennessee ruled out six players on Friday’s injury report, including a number of starters. Wide receiver A.J. Brown (chest) headlines the list after his status was unclear all week. Running back Jeremy McNichols (concussion) also won’t play – he was the team’s top back after losing Henry.
Other key contributors ruled out are guard Nate Davis (concussion), defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle), and linebackers Rashaan Evans (ankle) and David Long (hamstring). All four have played at least 40 percent of the Titans’ snaps this season. The Titans also listed four players as questionable, most notably starting tight end Geoff Swaim (concussion).
Meanwhile the Patriots did not rule anybody out on Friday, listing 10 players as questionable. Offensive lineman Trent Brown (calf) and defensive lineman Christian Barmore (knee) are both among those 10, returning to practice after missing Thursday’s session.
The other eight players on the report are running backs Damien Harris (neck) and Rhamondre Stevenson (knee), tight ends Jonnu Smith (shoulder) and Hunter Henry (neck), linebackers Dont’a Hightower (ankle) and Ja’Whaun Bentley (ribs), kicker Nick Folk (left knee), and punter Jake Bailey (right knee). Guard Shaq Mason (abdomen) and linebacker Kyle Van Noy (groin) were both removed from the list after having been on the report since September.
