Celtics make late addition to Game 3 injury report
Saturday has come with a late addition to the Game 3 injury report, with guard Jrue Holiday officially tagged as ‘questionable’ due to a non-COVID illness.
Holiday’s questionable status joins an injury report that’s already ruled Kristaps Porzingis out for what will be his ninth straight absence due to a calf injury, while center Luke Kornet is considered doubtful due to a left wrist sprain suffered in Boston’s Game 2 win on Thursday.
The veteran Holiday began the C’s third-round series with a bang, with 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting, along with eight assists and seven rebounds, in an overtime win in Game 1, and added 15 points and 10 assists in a Game 2 victory.
Overall, the 33-year-old Holiday has averaged 12.3 points, 4.9 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game, along with a 49.1 field goal percentage (42.9 percent from three-point range), in 12 games this postseason.
But the big injury news in this game comes on the other bench, with Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton considered questionable due to left hamstring soreness.
